This face was based on a photo of Christopher Eccleston in a magazine, but I was more interested in getting the interesting shape of his defined temples than capturing a true likeness. With this one I didn't draw any lines first. Even the edges of his face, his right cheekbone, is shading. I don't think his temples came out very well, even though they were in such a contrasted shadow in the photo, but because I was focusing more on that the rest of his face, I think the lower half came out better through lack of fuss and attention. I am very happy with the chin, mouth, and particularly the jowls. Pity about the hair again, though. Not a strong point.
