We got there early for the allocated penguin feeding time so that we could get near the front. Then all the latecomers turned out to be three and four year olds less than half my size, so we felt obligated to move back anyway. That heron (one of several, the rest waiting out of shot) was no more meant to be there than the seagull. Apparently they come over from Regent's Park at feeding time.
