What was I saying about cats always looking for a place to make a bed? The one incentive to actually make your bed in our house is that if you don't, the ruffled up duvet inevitably gets colonised. Anubis may well have been behind Sheba at this point. It's no great surprise cats like their beds, though I remember once our old cat Domingo (who bore a striking resemblance to Anubis, funnily enough) went missing for an entire afternoon and I went around the neighbours knocking on doors asking if they'd seen him. He was still a house-cat at that point, you see. Nobody had. Just before dinner I was in my parents' room for some reason when I sat down on the bed. And heard a disgruntled feline moan. Turns out he'd spent the entire day stretched out beneath the duvet, flat enough to look just like the normal bumps in the covers.
