Here is a close-up of the fine barbecue delicacies with which we bade farewell to 8 Grant Street forever. Jamie Oliver would probably not have approved, and my mother certainly wouldn't have, but it went down especially well, particularly the lamb doner kebabs, which I enjoyed with some mint sauce saved for the occasion.
