As with most origami, the jumping frog is made from a perfectly square piece of paper. If you don't know how to make one of those out of a sheet of A4: give up now.
Pre-crease the piece of paper along these lines. (You don't actually need to draw them on the paper - unless you're the kind of person who needed a grown-up to cut your piece of paper into a square to begin with.)
Tuck points A and B inside. You should now have two triangles joined down the middle.
Fold point C up, being careful to fold over the top sheet only. Do the same with point D, so that it meets point C at the top.
Fold point E over, then fold point F to meet it.
Fold point C back again, then mirror with point D.
Turn the whole thing over. Fold point G over so that the diagonal edge is now vertical down the middle.
Do the same thing with point H, so that G and H meet. Then fold point G back on itself.
Mirror with point H.
Fold along this imaginary line so that side b is beneath side a. Then turn the whole thing over again.
Fold the top layer only back along this line. Then turn the whole thing over for the final time.
And voila: one origami frog. To make it hop, apply pressure gently here and release. This can require some skill. (Time to get back that adult who cut the paper for you.)
